During the Easter holidays, while visiting family in Chandigarh, Gobind in Year 4 had the exciting opportunity to visit our newly opened international school, Bedford School Mohali.
Just one week after the school welcomed its first cohort of girls, Gobind and his parents enjoyed a warm welcome from Principal Miss Atkins, Governors and pupils, and a special tour of the new campus.
Taking a look around, Gobind was particularly impressed by the scale and modern feel of the school. He was wowed by the auditorium and sports hall, the boarding houses and the calm, tranquil Zen zone in dining hall for the girls.
He also enjoyed talking with pupils and teachers, sharing what school life is like at Bedford in the UK. He joined in a music class, playing his guitar for a group of the girls, and showed them some of the digital platforms he uses in lessons. Demonstrating his brilliant entrepreneurial skills, Gobind even pitched the idea of a co-ed Summer camp for families in the UK to them.
Back at school, Gobind shared his experience with his classmates during assembly, telling them about the differences and many similarities between our two school, such as the school’s shared culture and values. Summing Bedford School Mohali in three words, Gobind said: modern, big and friendly.
It was a wonderful opportunity for him, and an exciting moment as the Bedford School global family of schools begins.
