Generations of OBs

Generations of OBs

Throughout its history, many families have chosen to send generations of boys to be educated at Bedford School. We are very proud that this tradition continues today, with over eighty of our current parents and grandparents being Old Bedfordians (OBs) themselves.

To thank these families for their ongoing support of the school, we invited this group, along with parents who have a connection with an OB, to a drinks reception in the Quarry Theatre Bar.

On a balmy June evening, attendees spent a wonderful couple of hours catching up with other parents, meeting old friends, making new connections, and reminiscing about their days at the school. The Head Master, James Hodgson, thanked attendees for supporting the school and highlighted that, remarkably, one of the attendees’ sons is a sixth generation Bedfordian!  President of the OB Club, Richard Northern (63-71), provided a short update on the OB Club and how is it supporting boys both at the school and beyond Bedford.

It was fantastic to see so many members of our community come together in this way. We hope to hold another similar event in the future.
