Published at the same time as the obituary of H Douglas Galbraith, Master of Bedford School, Head of Classics and benefactor to the school, this article describes Classics being taught at the end of the last millennium. The department moved into what became known as The Galbraith Building in 1992 and remained there util 2023, when the building was renovated and St Cuthbert’s House took up residence, together with the School Archives. The building is still named The Galbraith Building.
