With the Bedfordshire Festival of Music, Speech and Drama now complete for 2025, we are delighted to share the many successes of our talented boys.
They impressed the judges with their brilliant business pitches, dramatic scenes, duologues, prepared readings and prose, performances of their own stories and poems, verse speaking and more.
From their earliest years at Bedford Prep School, we encourage all boys to explore and develop a love for the creative arts. In Speech and Drama, almost 40% of boys enjoy weekly lessons. Their outstanding results at the Bedfordshire Festival of Music, Speech and Drama highlight their passion for the creative arts, the impressive skills and confidence they have developed and the joy they experience from performing.
Mrs Turton, Head of Drama, told us, “The table below illustrates the boys’ many remarkable performances and successes. Congratulations to them and every boy who took to the stage to compete. It takes great courage to step out onto a stage and perform, but I am pleased to say that our boys did so in impressive numbers – and quite brilliantly.”
