Boys Take on First Triathlon in Memory of Their Dad

Boys Take on First Triathlon in Memory of Their Dad

Huge congratulations to Tommy and Matt, who, along with friends Sachin and Arjun, completed their first triathlon over half term, raising an incredible £2,855 (and rising) for CHUMS!

Taking place on one of the hottest days of the week, the challenge was no small feat, but the boys showed real determination and resilience throughout.

Tommy first decided to take on the triathlon as part of his 12th birthday in memory of his father. He soon roped in his twin brother Matt and friend Sachin, with Sachin’s brother Arjun completing the quartet.

Tommy and Matt chose to fundraise for CHUMS, a local charity which has supported their family and continues to provide vital mental health and emotional wellbeing services for children and young people across Bedfordshire. Their efforts were a way of giving something back to a cause that means a great deal to them.

“Taking on a first triathlon, particularly on such a hot day, is no small feat. That the boys chose to do so in memory of their dad, while raising such a significant amount, is truly inspiring. We are hugely proud of all four boys.”
