The end of the autumn term is always filled with learning as well as fun and festivities to get everyone in the Christmas spirit.
This week, boys in Y3, Y4 and Y5 enjoyed the fun of pantomime–Oh yes, they did! Boys from every year also shared their impressive singing, which is always a treat, with their families in Carol Services over three evenings in the Chapel.
In the Dining Hall, the festive cheer continued with a wonderful Christmas lunch, complete with Christmas jumpers, hats, crackers and festive food with all the trimmings.
We are proud to say that boys embrace the spirit of giving at Christmas and think of others in the wider Bedford community. This year, thanks to the generosity of boys, their families and our staff, we created 24 family food boxes (with loads of extras, too) to deliver to the All Nations Church ‘Christmas in a Box’ appeal. The appeal, which we proudly support each year, shares donated boxes filled with Christmas food and festive treats with families in need in the local community over Christmas.
Our Y3 and Y4 boys also laced up their trainers and popped on their Santa hats on the last day of term for a fun Santa Run to raise funds for Diabetes UK, our chosen school charity for this year.
It has been a joyful end to a fantastic term, filled with giving, celebration and community spirit.
