We are pleased to welcome Lawrence Coward (98-08) to our team of global District Vice Presidents (DVPs). Lawrence is taking over from Tim Williams (69-80) who is moving back to the UK this summer and is therefore step down as DVP for the UAE.

During his time at Bedford, Lawrence enjoyed rugby, rowing and athletics. He grew up in Turvey with his two brothers who also attended the School; Richard (95-05) who is now in China and Nick (01-12) who lives in London. After School, Lawrence took a gap year and worked at Trinity Grammar School in Sydney, teaching PE for a year, before going to Nottingham Trent University where he gained a 2:1 in Psychology with Sports Science. Following University, Lawrence returned to Bedford where he worked as a Graduate Teaching Assistant in the PE Department for 2 years. During this period, he became interested in business and sales and moved to Dubai in 2014 to work for Spencer Ogden as a recruitment consultant in the Oil and Gas Sector. He now works for the Emirates’ Group Service company ‘Transguard Group’ as a Business Development Manager within the HR outsourcing arena, providing recruitment, Visa and payroll solutions to businesses across the UAE.

We’d like to welcome Lawrence to the team and thank Tim for all his great work during his time in the role.
