Y4 joined TV presenter, author and keen climber, Mary-Ann Ochota as she led them on a journey up a mountain on Wednesday 28 February.
Armed with the knowledge of what to wear, what accessories to take, how to stay safe and even how to use the (outdoor) bathroom when you are high up a mountain, she encouraged the boys to start their own climbing challenges; such climbing a few of the gentler peaks in the UK or taking on the #EverestAnywhere challenge.
She also shared the two top climbing rules:
- Don’t fall off
- Look after yourself and your friends
The boys left the fun, interactive talk with a sense of adventure and excitement about their PGL trip later in the year, which includes climbing and high ropes.
