Berkoff's Messiah was staged and performed in the Quarry Theatre on Thursday 17th March by our AS drama students to a small audience and the AQA moderator. The students started learning about Berkoff's theatrical techniques back in the Autumn term and starting rehearsing the script in January.

The AS performance exam contained some highly innovative ideas and displayed some complex physical ensemble work. Head of Academic Drama, Mrs Antoinette Keylock commented, “I am immensely proud of what the students achieved in a short space of time. The moderator thought the piece was fantastic too!”

Performing in a Berkoff style is dynamic and energetic in a way that you perhaps wouldn't otherwise experience with other theatre practitioners.
