Movember is a big deal at Bedford School and this year, as ever, our Prep boys and staff are showing their support for the school’s MoBros – who are the Sixth Formers leading the charge – and playing their part with excitement, enthusiasm and commitment.
Stepping up for Movember, Mr Dennis is partway through a momentous challenge: running 5k every hour for 24 hours. A challenge that will see him run the equivalent of almost three marathons. It has been brilliant to see the incredible support he is receiving from boys and staff running with him, the whole community cheering him on and all those who have kindly donated to Movember in support. While our Prep boys might not be growing real moustaches just yet, that did not stop them from joining in the fun today. Every boy sported a stick-on moustache, competing for the coveted class photo competition and raising both smiles and funds for the cause.
The boys also raised funds by baking up a storm for a Movember cake sale and had an assembly with our Lower Sixth Mental Health Ambassadors who spoke to them about the importance of mental health, how to know if someone is not ok and how to seek support.
