It was wonderful to hear the Chapel Choir perform “Lully, Lullay, Thou Little Tiny Child” at both the Day Boy and Boarders Carol Services earlier this month. This piece is particularly close to our hearts as it was composed by accomplished British composer and OB Philip Stopford (90-95).
After the service, many of the congregation commented on the poignancy of the piece over some festive mince pies and mulled wine.
The new year promises to be an exciting time for Philip which will see him record a new CD of his sacred church compositions with Truro Cathedral Choir and the BBC National Orchestra of Wales, at the end of February 2017.
