We are delighted to welcome Lord Robert Winston, Emeritus Professor of Fertility Studies, Imperial College London, for the last of this year’s Harpur Science Forum lectures.

Lord Robert Winston will speak on ‘MODIFYING HUMANS: Where Does Genetics Stop?’ on Monday 25 April, from 4.45 to 5.45pm in Bedford School’s Great Hall.

Owing to the huge popularity of Lord Winston this is a ticketed event.  All pupils must book a free ticket using the link below.

Tickets will be available for collection in the week beginning Monday 18th April. Bedford School pupils should collect their tickets from the school library.

The lecture will be of particular use to those with an interest in biology, philosophy and ethics.

As usual the lecture:

  • Is open to all ages (although his focus will be year 12s, it should be accessible to all able students to some degree, with the caveat that the lecture will address issues which some may find difficult)
  • Is free, but ticketed
  • Has no dress code
  • Has free refreshments in the Great Hall from 4.20pm

A small number of Professor Winston’s books will also be available for purchase on the day (cash payment only).  Professor Winston will be available to sign the books after the lecture.
