We are delighted to announce that Jack Aldridge (Y6) won the Super Team Kumite at the Bukonkai Karate Regional Competition in Caddington on Sunday 21 May.
The talented orange belt not only took first place in Super Team Kumite, but also second place in the Individual Kumite and fourth place in the Team Kata

Glossary
Kumite: A fight in which basic techniques executed with “empty hands” (an unarmed hand) acquire a real meaning in confrontation with a real opponent. Correctness and thoroughness of technique execution are the basis of kumite.
Kata: Detailed choreographed patterns of movements practiced either solo or in pairs.
