Congratulations to Jack Aldridge (Y7) on winning two superb medals – gold and silver – at the Bukonkai ‘Colin Williams’ Karate National Championships.
Jack, who is a yellow belt, competed way above his weight against both brown and black belts in the exciting competition in Luton on Sunday 9 October. His brilliant performance earned him a well-deserved gold in the Individual Kumite and silver in the Team Kumite.

Kumite: A fight in which basic techniques executed with “empty hands” (an unarmed hand) acquire a real meaning in confrontation with a real opponent. Correctness and thoroughness of technique execution are the basis of Kumite.
