Bedford School Hockey Club rounded off their exceptional season at the Hockey National Finals, on Wednesday 26/Thursday 27 April.

Winning the East Championship en route, Bedford had a storming first round against Repton – last year’s winners (and the Man U of the school hockey world!). The boys executed the perfect match plan – winning 2-1. A frustrating 0-3 loss in the next game against the eventual group winners, Reeds School, meant the boys were playing for third or fourth place in the next round. Bedford School dominated the game against Altrincham Grammar in parts but had too much to do in the end, losing 2-3. The boys finished in fifth/sixth position overall – and until their second group game had conceded only two goals since their Bedfordshire qualifying round. An excellent season!
