Located in the heart of Bedford, Bedford School offers a wide range of unique modern and historic venues surrounded by extensive grounds for everything from small-scale corporate events, such as team meetings and seminars to large-scale conferences and events.

Great Hall

The Great Hall is a magnificent two-tiered assembly hall dating back to 1891. With views across the sports pitches, high ceilings and masses of natural light, this impressive space is ideally for celebrations, weddings, and private dining for up to 200 and conferences for up to 800 delegates.

Erskine May Hall

The Erskine May Hall is a purpose-built auditorium with a stage and fold away tiered seating for up to 450 people, makes for a flexible and accessible space.

Memorial Hall

An elegant, formal space that is steeped in history, the Memorial Hall offers a unique venue for meetings for 40 to 70 delegates, private dining for up to 30 guests or meetings for up to 20 delegates (boardroom style).

Quarry Theatre

The school’s Quarry Theatre is a brilliant venue for staging events. It offers a 282-seat galleried courtyard theatre, professional sound, lighting and studio systems, as well as large bar area which opens out onto private gardens.

Music Recital Hall

The award-winning Music School is renowned for its stunning architecture. The Recital Hall with its floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking the school playing fields, cricket pavilion and school chapel offers a striking venue for celebrations, meetings and training days.

The Langham Pavilion

Overlooking the school playing fields, the Langham Pavilion is ideal for meetings and seminars for up to 40 delegates. The Alastair Cook room offers a perfect meeting room for up to 18 delegates (boardroom style) or private dining for 20.

Observatory and Planetarium

The school’s observatory, the largest in the Southeast is sited on the school estate. The observatory and planetarium are operated by the school’s Astronomer in conjunction with members of the Bedford Astronomical Society and are available for use by schools and interested groups.
