The sun shone and the conversation flowed at the Annual School and OB Club Drinks Reception at Henley Royal Regatta on Wednesday. Attended by OBs, past and current parents and friends of the School, it was a wonderful opportunity for people to catch up over a glass of Pimms or two. A special thank you to those who made the trip from overseas and took time out of their busy schedule to join us.
Following the reception, spectators moved to the riverbank where they cheered on the 1st VIII as they took on Monkton Combe School in the Princess Elizabeth Challenge cup. We are delighted to report that they won by three lengths! They then went on to beat Westminster School yesterday by 2 1/4 lengths. What fantastic results! We have everything crossed for them today as they take on Shrewsbury.
The Annual Drinks Reception is always a very special occasion, so we look forward to seeing you all again next year!
