Despite the unfavourable forecast, we were grateful that the weather held out for us at our annual joint reception between the School and OB Club at Henley Royal Regatta yesterday. With OBs, past and current parents and friends of the School – a great day was had by all! Spectators cheered from the Stewards’ Enclosure as our 1st VIII took on a very tough Eton crew early on in the morning and, although our boys were unable to beat them, they definitely gave it their best shot!
Guests then made their way to Butler’s Field for the drinks reception and enjoyed catching up over a Pimms or three! A special thank you to all those visiting from overseas who took the time out of their busy schedules to join us. It was great to see a real mix of ages gathered to enjoy the truly unique experience that is Henley Royal Regatta…we look forward to welcoming you all again next year!
