Following on from last week’s royal theme, we were delighted to see five boys at Buckingham Palace on 24 May to receive their well-deserved Gold Duke of Edinburgh Awards.

Charles Gee, Thomas Liggins, Harry Donougher, Matthew Fordham and Oakley McNulty were all presented with their Gold Awards at a special ceremony at Buckingham Palace attended by The Duke of Cambridge.

It takes real dedication and hard work to achieve the Gold Award: each boy carried out volunteer work over a period of twelve months, learnt new skills, undertook a four-day/ three-night expedition and a five-day/ four-night residential trip.

We hope that the five boys are justly proud of their hard work and achievements.
