James Hodgson Fund – Beyond the Gates

Under James’s guidance, Bedford School has achieved remarkable progress, raising academic standards and transforming the estate, whilst ensuring that every pupil receives the very best experience. As parents, we have been welcomed into and become part of the school community, something that extends far beyond our children’ time at the school.

Whilst James has many achieved many things during his time, the thing that he is most proud of is the school’s Community Partnerships Programme. This programme has enabled every pupil to step beyond the classroom and make a difference by supporting local organisations, state primary schools, care homes, charities, and groups assisting those with additional needs, to name but a few. Through these experiences, our pupils have learned empathy, responsibility, and the value of contributing to society.

To honour his tenure and secure the future of this programme, we have established the James Hodgson Fund – Beyond the Gates, dedicated to sustaining and growing this vital work.
