This section of The Ousel details staff leavers and those new to the school, and in 2000, three members of the current staff joined the school.
In the March 2000 edition, we find Mr Adrian Finch, who joined the teaching staff in the Theology Department. Now the Director of IB, he has also been Head of UCAS, Head of Religious Studies, Master in Charge of Oxbridge, Assistant Housemaster of Talbots and Head of Humanities.
In the December 2000 edition, we find OB Mr Simon Lincoln who joined the PE Department while playing for Bedford Blues. In 2006, he rejoined the school full time and is now Deputy Assistant Head (Pastoral) in the Prep School, focusing on Bursaries and Mental Health, Head of Y8, and Head of PE. He was also Eagle Housemaster for over 10 years.
Ms Claire Geneve joined the school in 2000 as a French Assistant, before going to Cambridge to do her PGCE. She returned to Bedford in 2006 as a teacher of Modern Foreign Languages. She has been Head of French, Head of Modern Foreign Languages and Master in charge of Swimming and Water Polo. She has been a ML SCITT mentor since 2019, and involved with the Ready2Lead Conference for the past couple of years.
