This year, our Movember campaign has been nothing short of extraordinary. The Mobros wanted to make an impact, raise awareness and have some fun along the way – and we are proud to say they have done all three.
The highlight of the campaign is always the Movember film, and this year the boys have reached new heights with their parody, From Parklife to Tachelife, inspired by Blur’s iconic anthem. Over the years, the Movember film has become more than just a video – it is a tradition, a rite of passage as well as a powerful way to share a serious message about men’s health.
Upper Sixth Former Marcus, the driving force behind the video, summed it up,
“We chose Parklife because it gave us a down-to-earth, comical approach. Our mission was to shine a light on the amazing work Movember does for men’s mental health and cancer, and to inspire even more donations.”
And inspire it has. The boys have already smashed last year’s fundraising total, raising over £28,000 so far – and counting. What is also inspirational is that their message has travelled far beyond Bedford. The film has been shared widely, even featured by the main Movember charity in Australia, making their campaign global – an incredible achievement for the boys.
Movember at Bedford is about more than fundraising. It is about education and awareness – helping our community understand men’s mental health, suicide prevention and physical health issues like testicular and prostate cancer. Through assemblies, events and peer engagement, our MoBros are making a real difference across the school community and the world!
