Despite a good line-up, unfortunately the Old Bedfordians’ first visit to Radley in the Cricketer Cup did not result in victory for them. Watched by former Head Master, John Moule (Staff 08-14), the OBCC put in a valiant effort but struggled against such a strong side. Andrew Strauss, former England captain, opened the batting for the Radley Rangers, whilst former England international Jamie Dalrymple led their side and was at the crease to score the winning runs. The match finished in glorious sunshine, with Radley winning by 9 wickets, the OBs having been bowled out for 70.
The OBCC are now looking forward to OB Week. Better luck in next year’s competition!
