Festival of Remembrance

Festival of Remembrance

We are delighted to announce that our choristers have been asked to be the sole robed choir in this year’s Festival of Remembrance at the Royal Albert Hall on Saturday 7th November.

The Chapel Choir, who were asked to perform after impressing the Musical Director and BBC Producer, will sing in front of the Queen, a sell out audience of 5,000 and a worldwide TV audience of 8 million.

If you have yet to hear the choir sing, do tune in and watch it on the BBC on the 7th November.  You can also always join us at one of our chapel services to hear them first-hand in our beautiful chapel. We currently have four ex-choristers from prestigious cathedral and chapel choirs, three from King’s College Cambridge and one from St Paul’s Cathedral, as well as three German singers who all have been involved in famous German choirs, including the St Thomas Choir (Leipzig), Dortmund Boys Choir, German National Opera Company (Berlin) and Cantus Juvenem (Karlsruhe).

We are also delighted that one of our Upper Sixth boys, Jim Cooper, has just been offered an Organ Scholarship at Sidney Sussex College, University of Cambridge. He is planning to read Music and is awaiting the details of his offer at present.
