Our U15 rugby team enjoyed a night away last week, when they took part in the Langley School Rugby Festival. This provided a great opportunity for the boys to reflect on their performance and develop their play over the two days. Perhaps more importantly, it also gave the boys the chance to spend the night together as a team, which has many positive values in itself. All in all, it was a great experience for the boys.

Their rugby began slowly but started to gather pace and direction towards the end of day one. After match play, the boys had some time for a training session where they worked on some of the areas that required development. This was a successful session and the boys took their experiences from day one into day two and displayed much improved performances. They really started to click in the final game of the day against Abingdon School and scored some exceptionally well-worked tries through fast ball movement and accurate breakdown skills.

Impressively, their conduct was exemplary through the entire weekend. This did not go unnoticed by the officials and the boys were presented with the ‘Fair Play’ award in recognition of this.
