Fourth
Form and Sixth Form Drama students enjoyed a workshop and performance of
Shakespeare’s ‘Macbeth’ at The Globe Theatre London on Monday 14 September
2016.

Following
a tour of the theatre, students were invited to reflect upon the original
performance conditions in Shakespeare’s day.  They then explored elements
of the script and took part in some creative performance work. The current
exhibition at the Globe Theatre provided the boys with further insight into the
cultural and historical conventions of this unique theatre.

“This
educational Drama visit to The Globe Theatre has been a wonderful start to the
year and it will be interesting how the students take the text further in
lesson time”. Antoinette Keylock, Head of Academic Drama.
