Sport in general across the school has been quite outstanding during this summer term, and cricket is certainly no exception. It has been a demanding few weeks in the crease with matches coming thick and fast. As well as our traditional Saturday block fixtures, the school is still involved in a number of cup competitions. Our U15s are through to the semi-finals of the National Lord’s Taverners competition (a notoriously difficult competition to win and so we are all extremely excited for their next match). In the last week, our U17 team have seen off Bradfield and our 1st XI won away at Felsted in the National T20 competition. The U14s have played Kimbolton School, Northamptonshire, Stowe and Eton in the last ten days and, following a county cup competition match on Friday 15 June, will take on Rugby school on Saturday 16 June.

Bedford School v Northamptonshire U14 A Team

The photos here show our U14 A team defeating Northamptonshire on Thursday 7 June, chasing down Northamptonshire’s target in the final over. They then went on to defeat Stowe by 165 runs on Saturday 9 June. However, after a loss away at Eton on Thursday, they are hoping for victories on Friday 15 and Saturday 16 June.
