Fly Fishing Afternoon – Roxton Park Trout Fishery

May 21

Simon Bath (56-64 ) would like to invite OBs, their partners and family members to a day of Fly Fishing at Roxton Park Trout Fishery.

Roxton Park Trout Fishery started life in 1976 following the extraction of gravel from a 28 acre field in the peaceful and picturesque Ouse valley.  Today it is a stunning trout fishing location surrounded on three sides by established trees providing excellent shelter, but plenty of casting room.  The lake also has a profusion of bird life from Kingfishers, Great Crested Grebes and Green Woodpeckers.

The ‘Roxton Rainbow’ trout have a reputation for being free rising, and hard fighting so you will be guaranteed some good catches.  As well as fishing on the banks of the lake, there are also 4 boats which will be at your disposal, so you can try your luck in deeper waters.

You will need to provide your own kit and life jacket (if you plan to go out on a boat).  However if you have neither, please let us know as Simon has a small number he can provide.  It is also advisable to wear sunglasses.

Arriving at 3.00pm, the event will run all afternoon and into the evening, finishing at 8.00pm.  Along with the fishing, we will be providing food and a selection of drinks (inc wine and beer).  The cost of this will be £25 per fisherman.  There is no cost for guests who will also receive food and drinks.

We do hope that you can join us for what promises to be a wonderful event.
