OB Club Agincourt and Waterloo Battlefield Tour

April 27 - April 29

After a very successful trip to Monte Cassino last year, we are planning a trip to Agincourt and Waterloo from Saturday 27th to Monday 29th April 2019. Whilst we cannot claim to have any Old Bedfordians at the Battle of Agincourt given that the battle took place 137 years before the foundation of the School, there may well have been a few OBs on the fields at Waterloo - we are searching the records.

We will be visiting the sites of some of the famous British victories over the French – from Wellington and Napoleon, to King Henry V and Charles VI of France. Please note that the timing of this trip is coincidental and in no way connected to Brexit!

As in previous years, the trip promises to be most enjoyable with a good mixture of sightseeing, history and socialising. In the past, we have found that this is a great way to bring together all ages.

The cost will be £350 per person (plus merchant's fees when booking online). There is a single supplement of £40 (please add this when booking).

This price includes:

  • Executive coach from Bedford School.
  • Return Channel crossings.
  • The professional services of an Anglia Guide.
  • 2 nights’ bed and breakfast accommodation (likely to be an Ibis).
  • An evening meal in the hotel on day 1.
  • Packed lunches on days 1 and 2.
  • Entry to museums and sites as listed on the itinerary.
  • Insurance specifically designed for groups for those under 85 at the time of travel
  • A tour booklet for all participants.
