Exhibition of Watercolours by Anne Stileman

Many Old Bedfordians will have fond memories of former staff Anne and Peter Stileman (55-85), who have now sadly passed away. Both had a broad love of the Arts and Anne was a talented artist. We were delighted to hear that a number of their friends from Stevington, the village where they lived in retirement, have decided to put on an exhibition of Anne’s remaining work. One friend happens to be Old Bedfordian Robert Hart (44-52) and another Former Staff Member, Bob Eadie (71-16).

The main exhibition will take place on Saturday 19th May and Sunday 20th May from 11am to 5pm at St Mary’s Church, MK43 7QB, with a £2 entry fee. However, we have been asked to highlight that all OBs are more than welcome at the preview on the evening of Friday 18th May from 7.30pm to 9.30pm.

Please note that individuals will be able to purchase some of the artwork, with the funds hopefully going towards a bursary for young people from the village to help further their interest in art.

For those unfamiliar with Stevington, it is a short distance north west of Bedford. It is hoped that this event will be well supported; please note that there is no need to book in advance.
