Our DVP (District Vice President) for Bedfordshire, Dr Jason Reddy (79-84), would like to invite OBs and guests to join him and his family for a Christmas Lunch at The Snooty Tavern in Great Staughton on Sunday 1st December. Situated on the Bedfordshire / Cambridgeshire border, this fantastic gastropub has just recently been taken over by Nick Jones (Marriott) (92-02) as Exec Head Chef who hosted our very successful DVP lunch last year at his other pub, the Mermaid at Ellington.

There’s quite a bit of OB backstory to this pub too. Since last year’s DVP lunch at the Mermaid, where Roger Marks (71-82) had a conversation with Nick about expansion opportunities, Roger has been working with Nick to formulate a plan to take on the pub in addition to the Mermaid. During this summer, since their previous tenants left, Roger and his wife Hayley have been running the pub in their spare time with the assistance of family and friends including lots of OBs back from university over the summer!

To add more 'OB icing' on the cake, beer for the day will be provided by The Black Pit Brewery, set up by three OBs; Ben Williams (91-02), Duncan Wheeler (95-02) and Oliver Whiteley (92-02).

If you love good food and great company, this event is definitely not one you'll want to miss!

The cost of the lunch, which includes a welcome glass of Champagne, a delicious three-course festive meal followed by tea/coffee, will be £45 per head (including service charge).

Please use 'DVP Bedfordshire - Christmas Lunch' in the subject line. Please note, last year's DVP Bedfordshire Christmas lunch was a 'sell-out' event so please book by 26th November to avoid disappointment.
