Art Lecture: Michael Peppiatt on Bacon and Giacometti

January 25 | 19:30 - 21:00

Michael Peppiatt is an art historian, curator and writer, who graduated from Cambridge University in 1964, when he joined The Observer as junior art critic. He is now regarded as one of the finest art writers of his generation and is probably best known for his authoritative books on the painter Francis Bacon, the subject of his two bestselling books, ‘Francis Bacon:  Anatomy of an Enigma’ and ‘Francis Bacon in Your Blood’. He has also curated numerous exhibitions worldwide, including a joint show of works by Giacometti and Bacon due to open at the Fondation Beyeler in Switzerland in May 2018.

A selection of Michael's books, which he will be happy to sign, will be available after the lecture.

This event is open to everyone and there is no need to book, just turn up on the night.  We look forward to seeing you.
