Our Chapel Choir joined forces with the resident Boy Choristers at Ely Cathedral to take part in their traditional Choral Evensong service on Thursday 11 October.

The Chapel Choir has visited Ely Cathedral on a number of occasions previously, and it has always proved to be a fantastic experience for our boys to sing alongside other boys of the same age.

The visit began with a short tour of the cathedral, where they were impressed by the remarkably long Norman Nave with its painted ceiling, as well as the huge Octagon tower and wooden lantern – one of the wonders of the medieval world.

The tour was followed by a rehearsal led by Ely Cathedral Organist and Director of Music, Paul Trepte, and, after a short break for tea, the day concluded with the Choral Evensong service, where the voices of the two choirs blended beautifully.

Many thanks to the large number of parents who came along to show their support.
