Many congratulations to OB Emilio Gay (11-18) who has been selected to represent Marylebone Cricket Club (MCC) Schools in their prestigious annual match against the England Schools Cricket Association (ESCA) at Lord’s on Tuesday 4 September.
During the course of the year, the MCC played against 250 schools, which means that Emilio has been selected from a pool of more than 2,500 schoolboys.
Emilio, who has just finished the Sixth Form here at Bedford School, has enjoyed an outstanding season playing for the school and Northamptonshire Cricket Club’s 2nd XI. He won the Bedford School Cricket Club batting award and received a cricket honours cap earlier this summer.
