One standout event from this partnership was the recent ‘Camp with the Champs’, held at Bedford School during the half-term break. This camp was a fantastic opportunity for young rugby enthusiasts from across the borough to train under the guidance of professional players and coaches from Northampton Saints. The camp focused on enhancing the participants’ technical skills, tactical understanding and overall fitness, while also emphasising the importance of teamwork and sportsmanship. 
Throughout the camp, players were able to engage in a variety of drills and exercises that mirrored the training routines of professional athletes. They received personalised feedback and tips from the Saints’ coaching staff, which helped them to refine their technique and boost their confidence on the field. Additionally, the camp included sessions on nutrition, injury prevention and mental resilience, ensuring that the young athletes received a holistic approach to their development.
The elite partnership with Northampton Saints extends beyond just training camps. It includes regular visits from players and coaches to school, providing ongoing mentorship and inspiration to our boys. This relationship also opens doors for our boys to attend Saints’ matches, giving them a first-hand look at professional rugby in action and the chance to experience the excitement of game day.
