Toby Coles (Y6) has logged an incredible 615-day continuous streak on the online learning platform DoodleMaths – a remarkable achievement.

Toby decided to take on the challenge of completing 50 stars every day because, as he told us, “I was determined to get better at my maths.” His commitment has been superb. Not only does Toby log on every day, but he also achieves 50 stars, 40 more than is required.

His teacher Mrs Travis told us, “I am incredibly proud of Toby and his achievement. Using DoodleMaths, Toby has been able to recap, rehearse and revise his maths each day, and it has certainly paid dividends.”

DoodleMaths uses spiral curriculum: a cognitive theory that allows all our Y5 and Y6 boys to regularly re-engage with key maths topics to consolidate their knowledge and build on it.

Reflecting on his 615-day continuous streak, Toby was proud to attribute the following Future Skills and characteristics to his achievement: Endeavour in his continued efforts and determination, Responsibility for his self-discipline, Curiosity to learn and Integrity for his initiative. However, he is not finished yet and hopes to keep the continuous run going up until the end of the year, which will be, quite simply, an even more remarkable achievement.
