We are happy to report that the annual Boat Club Dinner and Awards Evening, held in the Great Hall last Saturday 18th March, was a great success! It was lovely to see such a good turnout at the event with a nice mix of OBs and current School boys attending – all with a shared passion for Rowing! Over a hundred boys, coaches, parents and OBs gathered in the Great Hall for the annual Boat Club dinner and awards evening.  They were treated to a memorable speech by Phelan Hill MBE (87-97) who described the rollercoaster build up to winning gold at Rio 2016.  He also made a moving tribute to Mr Guise as the coach who inspired him to take up coxing and emphasised to the boys that they should also dream big.  Awards were presented to boys who had performed outstandingly in their age-groups and Barbara Seamark who has devoted so much time and energy to the running of FoBSBC over the last three years. Everyone who attended had a thoroughly enjoyable evening and we’d like to give a special thanks to all those involved in organising the event and making this possible.
