Cyber Discovery Programme

The first stage (Assess) of HM Government’s Cyber Discovery Programme, which is an extracurricular learning programme for pupils aged 14-18, is now completed. This stage opened on Tuesday 6 November 2018 and closed on Thursday 31 January 2019. 93% (that’s 39 out of 42) of our pupils who registered were invited to this stage. The average challenge completion amongst the boys was 9/14. The second stage (Game) opened on Tuesday 15 January 2019 and closes on Monday 18 March 2019. 45% (that’s 19 out of 42) of pupils who engaged in Stage 1 were invited to this stage. So far, the average percent complete amongst the pupils is 17% from 9 who have played. With over a month to go, we are hoping that some of the boys will be invited to the third stage. The Cyber Discovery Programme will be available to all boys aged 14-18 in autumn term later this year. Boys taking GCSE Computer Science will be required to enrol.
