Our DT workshops may be closed at the moment but that has not stopped our Prep boys from developing their graphic and packaging design skills.

Boys in Y3 and Y4 have been investigating the fantastical work of the French illustrator ‘SKWAK’. His unique and frenetic graphic universe, ‘Maniac World’, is populated by creatures with a ‘larger-than-life’ look, and his works revisit children’s fairy tales and universal myths. The boys have been creating food packaging using ‘SKWAK’s unique style of illustration.

In Y5 and Y6, boys have been learning how to draw in the style of Jon Burgerman. The British-born contemporary artist and graphic designer is famous for his use of bright colours and ‘doodle art genius’.  He has created artwork for the likes of Pepsi, Nike, Puma, Nintendo, MTV, Miss Sixty, Sony, and Sky among many others.

While Y7 boys have been producing their very own graphic novels. They have learned how to draw in different styles, considered the layout of each page and evaluated how to immerse the reader into the world of their graphic novel stories.
