‘Making An Impression’

Recent work by Dale Devereux Barker

Dale Devereux Barker R.E has been making linocuts since
1981. This humble, yet pliable form of printmaking has been the source of much
creative investigation and discovery over these years and Dale has constantly
sought to tease out the possibilities offered by the designing, cutting and
overprinting that this activity encompasses. This exhibition shows some of the
highlights of Dale’s output over the past eight years and covers his many
recurring themes such as swimming, the humble still life and simple moments
from our daily existence. It brings together and celebrates the creative act made
solid in print.”
