It was our privilege to watch our cross country squad in action as they competed at the County Championships, held on Wednesday 7 February at Ampthill Park in Bedfordshire.

Anyone familiar with Ampthill Park will know what a challenging terrain this is to conquer.  There are numerous hills to power up and down, mud pathways and lots of rabbit holes to try to avoid along the route.  It is also a beautiful park with some amazing views and there was a great atmosphere for all the runners involved.

All of the boys worked hard and showed great resilience and determination in the cold and demanding conditions.  Ed Blythman won the bronze medal in the Intermediate race, and Will Barnes and Adam Foat battled it out for fourth and fifth place respectively in the Seniors.

Additionally, seven boys on the squad received letters of invitation to represent the county at the English Schools’ Championships.
