On Thursday 27th April members of the Old Bedfordians Cricket Club joined up with over seven hundred fellow cricketers from across the country to mark the 50tnh Anniversary of the Cricketer Cup. The competition started in 1967 for sixteen Public Schools and then in 1969, this was extended to thirty-two teams. To date, there have been forty-nine finals with fifteen different winners, with the Old Tonbridgians leading the field with fifteen wins over the years. The OB Club are yet to win the tournament, but remain very positive about the season ahead!

A good evening was had by all. The First Round of the Cricketer Cup this year will take place on Sunday 11th June at Letchworth Garden City CC and will see the Old Bedfordians face the Downside Wanderers. Please do come and watch or if you would like to play please contact Charlie Wren (95-06) on c.j.a.wren@gmail.com
