Sixteen Prep boys enjoyed a fantastic cricket tour when they flew to South Africa over the half term.

The cricketing fun began before they even took off when they bumped into Nasser Hussain at the airport at the Johannesburg check-in!

During their time in Cape Town, the boys took in the South Africa v England Fifth ODI.  Any disappointment the boys experienced when their heroes lost by five wickets to South Africa was soon forgotten when they met the England team.  The players, including captain Eoin Morgan, Jonny Bairstow, Ben Stokes and James Taylor, were amazing and spent a lot of time taking questions, signing autographs and having pictures taken.

The boys also got down to some serious cricket, with six matches against Sweet Valley Primary School, SACS, Bastion Primary, Paarl Boys, Parklands and Kirstenhof Primary.  And in between they managed to fit some fun – with trips to The V&A Waterfront, the beach, Robben Island, Ratunga Junction Theme Park and a Super Rugby match, as well as getting up close to some of the local wildlife on a trip to a crocodile farm and a Lion and Chimpanzee sanctuary.

We must also say a big thanks to the incredible hospitality of all of our hosts in South Africa who made us feel so very welcome and made the trip so memorable.
