The music and drama departments hosted a series of special ‘Romeo and Juliet’ themed post exam workshops for all Y8 boys.
Initially, boys split into two groups to explore musical composition with Mr Sanders, while Mrs Keylock introduced them to some basic stage combat. The famous ‘Do you bite your thumb’ duologue was integrated and the pupils were allowed to develop their scene creatively.
The second half of the workshops brought music and drama together, and all groups experimented performing the script with a music underscore throughout. Boys were amazed at how the music greatly enhanced the scenes of conflict.
