Congratulations to Harry Gouldstone (Fifth Form)
who has been selected for the Northamptonshire CCC Academy. Harry (wicket
keeper/batsman) will now join Emilio Gay (Lower Sixth) amongst a group of elite
young cricketers at Northamptonshire, who are the current T20 National
Champions. Harry captained the school U15A team and following several
impressive performances (inc 100 against Kings School (Australia), he made his
first team debut against Rugby School and also played in the U17 team in the
national competition.

The
Northamptonshire CCC Academy is an ECB initiative
that is run by all first class counties and Harry will now take part in a
programme which will help him to further develop the technical, tactical,
mental and strength and conditioning aspects of his game to hopefully
prepare him for a career as a professional cricketer. Current England players
such as Chris Woakes and Moeen Ali both came through an academy programme at
their respective counties, so this is an excellent opportunity for Harry to
work towards playing first class cricket.
