In a wonderful end to the 2016 Cricket season, the Bedford School U14s defeated Bedford Modern by 10 wickets to win the County Cup final.

Bedford Modern scored 98-9 off 30 overs.  However, the chase proved swift and decisive: Tom O'Toole and Michael Catt reached the necessary total in just 8.2 overs, with O'Toole making 52*. It was a thoroughly deserved win for the team who will now represent the county in next year's national Lord Taverner's Cup.
