The Erskine Hall was alive with bangs, gasps and
laughter as our boys joined local schools and prep schools for this year’s
exciting annual science lecture.

Boys learnt about the chemistry behind many aspects of the
modern world; from the reactions of oxygen that make iron rust and humans
respire to the metals that form the colour of fireworks and precious
gems.  Mr Knight, Head of Chemistry in the Upper School, illustrated how
chemistry is very much a part of our life and the world in which we live with
plenty of colour, bangs and explosions along the way!
