Jamie Maling (Y6) was invited to be a forerunner at the English School’s Ski National Finals on Saturday 6 October as a result of his brilliant performance in the regionals, where he finished fourth in his year group. As a forerunner, Jamie was responsible for testing the course ahead of the racing and feeding back any changes that were required. We are pleased to say that Jamie was very thorough in his testing, skiing the course at least fifteen times! It was a great experience for him to see competition at a national level.

Jamie is part of the newly-formed Prep School Ski Team, is made up of boys of all levels, who are competing in races for the first time this year. The team have now competed in two competitions; the English Schools’ Ski Regional Finals and the British Independent Schools’ Ski Racing Open Championship at the Milton Keynes Snowdome, each time learning a great deal.

Well done to all the boys on an excellent start to their competitive skiing.
