Club Communications

Community OB Club

The OB Review is our annual publication and serves as a comprehensive update and celebration of the achievements, activities, and stories of OBs.

Communication Channels

We like to keep in touch with you! We prefer using social media and email to speed up communications, but we do also post annual publications. You can also find us on social media, sharing news, events and all things ‘OB Club’.

Facebook  |  LinkedinInstagramEagle Connect

We post photos from our events, news of OBs, links to upcoming events, old photographs and much more on Facebook and Instagram. Feel free to post your own school photos, tag yourself in event photos or ask us questions!

We send out a monthly News email, with updates about OBs, photos from our events and School snippets, and also a monthly Events email which lists our upcoming events.

If you are an OB who hasn’t been receiving these and you would like to, then we probably don’t have your email address! Let us know what it is on obclub@bedfordschool.org.uk (you can unsubscribe from one or both emails at any time).

If you have news about yourself or another OB which we can include in our monthly News email, social media or a publication, send us an email (plus photo if you have one) at obclub@bedfordschool.org.uk

Examples might include:

  • You have recently received an award or prize
  • You got married, had a baby – or other family news
  • You met up with other Obs
  • You have done charity work or been on a sabbatical
  • You’ve moved, been promoted – or other career news
  • Any other news!

OB Review

The OB Review is a key publication from the OB Club, designed to celebrate and strengthen connections within the OB community. Each issue shares news and updates about OBs making an impact across a wide range of fields – from the arts and sports to business and public service. It also features interviews and profiles of notable OBs, offering insights into their journeys and achievements.

In addition to personal stories, the OB Review includes reports on Club events, reunions, and networking opportunities, helping OBs stay engaged with one another. The publication also honours those we’ve lost in its In Memoriam section, and explores current global topics, showcasing how OBs are contributing to today’s challenges. Past editions of the OB Review are available below.

Communication Guidelines

We want the OB community to enjoy engaging with us across our social media platforms, and we ask that all users follow a few simple guidelines to help keep these spaces respectful and inclusive. When using the Club’s social media channels, OBs are expected to present themselves thoughtfully and courteously. The Club reserves the right to remove any comments that do not comply with these standards, and may block users for repeated infractions.

Posts that are irrelevant, offensive, vulgar, illegal, threatening, abusive, or harassing – including trolling – will not be tolerated. Content promoting criminal acts, cruelty, pornography, spam, or hacking/phishing will be removed, and users may be blocked. We also reserve the right to delete posts that could expose the Club to legal issues, including potentially libellous or defamatory remarks. External links are welcome if they are relevant, non-commercial, and do not breach copyright or promote unlawful or inappropriate content.

We ask that users refrain from using offensive language, including swearing or any racist, sexist, homophobic, or hate speech. For safety, please do not share personal information such as contact details, passwords, or email addresses. Only upload images that are your own and relevant to the conversation – illegal or prohibited media will be removed.

Above all, we encourage a friendly and constructive community. Be courteous, considerate, and help us maintain a space where meaningful conversations can thrive. If you spot any issues, please report them so we can address them promptly.
