OB Club

Community

When you leave Bedford School, you become an Old Bedfordian – part of a proud tradition that dates back to 1891. As one of the most active alumni associations in the country, the OB Club is a vibrant global community of over 9,000 members, offering a busy calendar of reunions, sports fixtures, and social gatherings throughout the year. It’s a lifelong connection to the school and to fellow OBs, wherever life takes you.

The Old Bedfordian Club

The OB Club exists to keep the Bedford School spirit alive long after school days are over. Its core mission is to foster meaningful connections among alumni, support members in their careers and lives, and maintain a strong bond between the school and its current and former pupils.

The Club is a vital link between generations of OBs, former staff, and the school – offering opportunities to reconnect, celebrate shared experiences, and support the school’s ongoing aims. Whether you’re attending an event, catching up with fellow OBs, or simply staying in touch, the OB Club is there for you.

We welcome OBs who would like to return to the school and visit. For safeguarding reasons, we ask that you prebook your visit with the team in the OB office. obclub@bedfordschool.org.uk

Alumni Directory

The OB Club Directory is the OB Club’s online, password-protected directory of Bedford School alumni.

It replaces the printed ‘Register’ or ‘Blue Book’ that you may have received in the dim and distant past. Use the Directory to reconnect with friends. You can also update the contact details we hold for you.

Membership

All Bedford School leavers automatically become members of the Old Bedfordian Club when they turn 18, with the entrance fee included in school fees.

While the Club receives a modest income from investments, its main support comes from OBs who upgrade to Eagle Supporter status (formerly Subscribing Members). These contributions help enhance the Club’s activities and services for all members.

OB Review

The OB Review is our annual publication and serves as a comprehensive update and celebration of the achievements, activities, and stories of OBs.

The OB Review is part of the Club’s effort to maintain strong connections among OBs. You can find copies of the OB review from previous years below.
